Baby with EB in bottle
« on: April 02, 2013, 19:48:09 pm »
I have a 4 1/2 week old this is my 5th child, I am Exclusivly pumping for her. (My milk supply is 31 oz per day average) This is my 3rd time exclusively pumping.

She doesn't seem to want to drink more than an ounce to an ounce and 1/2 at a time per feed. Sometimes more, but not usually. Yesterday her total intake was close to 20 oz breastmilk.

Her birthwieght was 7# 6.6 oz

Wieghing her with a dry diaper and clothes she is 11.2 lbs at 4.5 weeks. Is it possible that my milk is so rich that she doesn't need 25 oz per day?

How do I get her from feeding every 1/2 hour to 1 hour to feeding normal 2.5 to 3 hour feeds?

She falls asleep or acts disinterested after a 1/2 oz to 1 oz a lot of times...

Early days still hun...  if she is a sleepy baby, you can strip her down to her diaper to get her to take more, tickle her feet... stroke her cheek... just the usuals really.
