Fun groups for an 8 month old
« on: April 10, 2013, 14:12:38 pm »
I am looking for a fun class to take my 8 month old to. I will be going back to work in 5 weeks  :-[ and would like to have a special day during the week where i can take her to something fun. She enjoys being around other children.

I;m not really sure what kind of classes there are about.

have you got 'tumble tots' near you? I have done that with both my lo's and they love it :)

it will depend what your LO likes the most, e.g. music, physical play, art/crafts, and how much you want to spend

our local libraries do "rhyme time" sessions which L loved as a baby (and still does!) - these are free

there are also paid musical/song groups which you can go to

tumble tots/gymboree is a good idea

or a swimming class?

do you have a 'creation station' near you?  they do arts and crafts activities for all ages, including babies and are lots of fun.

another idea is to join/go to a play group which might have a mixture of all of the above (except swimming!), plus more general play and socialisation (as your LO gets older)

tumble tots is an activity class. We begin by singing songs and then they have a room full of apparatus for developing gross motor skills i.e. climbing. DD loves it!
