Well fed during day yet still wakes for food at night?

Hello!
My baby is 10 months old. He eats fairly well all day (breakfast, lunch and dinner). He eats meats, legumes, fruits, veggies and some crackers. He also BF about 3-4 times before his 7pm bedtime. He is still waking at night for a feed! Is this normal? I feel like he can't possibly eat more during the day and even if I tried, he'd refuse.

Some babies ( mine included) just don't drop that night feed until Mama decides to drop it.

Well with my daughter I only just did at 18 months! With my son, at 9 months I just stopped feeding overnight and settled him with PUPD. It was a couple of rough nights but we were all done within 4 nights. If you do decide to keep the feed for now, chances are he will drop it eventually. Not all do, but most do.

I began last night...no food when DS wakes. He woke at 1am crying and I did PUPD a number of times and after an hour of whimpering and patting he slept until 4am. Woke again crying and I patted him right back to sleep. 630 came and I went in (he was awake as playing since before 6) and he had a good long feed then ate a full breakfast! I will stick to my guns on this tonight too no matter how tired I am.

Hi again,
Last night baby woke at 3am and stayed awake until 445am! He was playing around, giggling, crying, etc. I patted him this whole time when I could get him down.

If he's not crying, I step back and sit. He then climbs up his railings and starts crying. If I leave him alone, it always escalates until I put him back down. Tonight is night 4! I feel his day time appetite had improved just by not feeding him at night.

Thanks for asking. DS is still waking quite often at night but I just pat him back to sleep and he doesn't ask for food anymore. Why is he waking so often now? He didn't do this before.

Hi hon- Sorry i missed this again! Are the night wakings stil a problem? Have you considered the temperature or teething may now be an issue? We've always had lots of night wakings if we haven't planned well enough for the change in season.
