Refusing dream feed!!!!
« on: April 27, 2013, 22:49:41 pm »
My daughter is almost 4 months old, ebf for 3 months and combined now. Breast feed at bedtime 7pm and bottle feed the rest of the time.
Dream feed at 11 but she will not drink her bottle, just 1oz is the most I can get her to have. She is still waking at 3am to be fed.
Not sure what to do? Feel mean, forcing her to have it  :(

I would just stop offering to be honest.  Not all babies will take a DF and if she only takes an ounce and sleeps until 3am, you are very lucky :)

If you really want to get the DF to work, try offering it at 1030pm catching her at a different point in her sleep cycle.

Update,
This is how it went the last 2 nights.
Breast feed at 7pm, an oz or two at most at 11pm, sleep then till 530am, then breast feed again, back to sleep till 8am.
Do u think I should stop dream feed?

Without question, give it up.  There is no way that an ounce or two is actually holding them over until that time of the morning... I would stop since it's quite likely that it just disturbs sleep.
