Finger Food Ideas
« on: May 04, 2013, 16:45:33 pm »
DD is 7.5 months and has comlpetely mastered getting Cheerios and Puffs into her mouth. For some reason I can remember what finger foods I start DS on. He had teeth by 7 months where DD doesnt. Can anyone help me with what I can offer now for finger foods? I feel more worried about chocking with DD than I did with DS, not sure why as she had no feeding issues at all. Maybe its because shes a girl I think shes more fragile, when really shes not!

We were giving Audrey basically table food by that stage, although she hadn't quite got her pincer grip down. Omlette cut into strips, toast, potato or sweet potato wedges, spears of broccoli, asparagus, sticks of pear, banana, avocado, little cubes of cheese, hunks of meat (big, so she could grab and suck), cooked carrots, risotto, fusili pasta - anything we were eating, really!

Cooked broccoli, cooked carrot sticks, strips of omelette, slices of meat, normal size pasta (twists work well).
Here's my blog which is focussed on simple food for babies, toddlers and families http://mamacook.blogspot.com/
