We're back, it feels like we never left!! Over the last 2days, my DD (23m old on 08/06) has been waking for the day at 5.20am. Prior to this, WU was between 6-6.15 with more often than not a CO around 5/5.15 but no WU, which tbh wasn't great as I was then awake waiting for her to start chatting but in the grabd scheme of things, seems quite acceptable now!! On occasion over the few week she would wake between 5/5.30, have a little chat and then take herself back off to sleep until somewhere between 7-7.30??

Our day looked like this before the 5.20 WU:

WU: 6-6.15
Nap:12.45/1pm for 2h (capped)
BT:6.45/7pm

She always seems ready for bed at nap and BT - asleep straight away or within a few mins, so I wondered if she might be OT. So last night I ptb @6.30 - she was out like a light (yawning at 6pm) and slept until 5.20. So better for her as she had more sleep but rubbish re: WU time!!!

When she wakes, she'll chat, play. She has been asking to get up - I go in and tell her it's not time to get up, put her back in her gro-bag, lay her down with her lovie - she doesn't resist this and sucks her to the (Ss ) which she does generally when she's tired. She will stay in her cot until 6.45-7am when I'll go in with a cheery happy good morning!

So once again I ask the Q, thanking you all in advance, what to do with my little monkey, anything obvious/thoughts? Technically it's not EW -10.5/11h nights but its too early esp now I'm Working around 3days a week- please help!!!

Ps - I went in this morning at 6.50 - she was laid down like she would have gone back to sleep. That said, going back to sleep at that time probably wouldn't help but perhaps is an indicator she's still tired? Oh and when she wakes at 5.20 it's not a gentle coming around - its a sudden CO but then within minutes she starts to chat. I don't think teeth ate actively a problem though I'm sure lingering in the background as they alwAys are!

Thanks again  :)

I think you either need to push BT back a wee bit or cap the nap at 1.5 hours tbh. I would imagine on a good 2 hour nap she could go to bed more like 7.15pm and then hopefully you might get closer to 6am.....
It depends on the lo, some are fine with a capped nap but others prefer to keep the longer nap and have a later BT. She may be a bit OT atm because of the earlier starts but probably started with UT?

Is she teething at all?

Not actively teething no. We've not long had a spate if NW because of teeth but I would say that's not an issue ATM.

I too thought she was OT, hence the EBT of 6.30 last night (she was straight out for the count)  though I can see how it could well have started with UT. I was doing a later BT - 7, asleep for 7.15 but then we started getting the 5am CO, which I thought was OT.

I too wondered about further capping the nap but I always have to wake her at 2h and she's not always ready to get up iykwim, so perhaps I should try a later BT in the 1st instance and see how we go? I guess today's a good day to do given she slept 11h despite the early start. Would you keep the nap time the same?

I would keep nap at 1pm and then if she naps 2 hours do BT at 7.15/30pm keeping it to a 13 hour day if poss. Try just keeping it like that for at least 5 days regardless of wake up etc and see how she goes.
