WWYD - gro-clock dilemma
« on: June 03, 2013, 11:30:54 am »
this is probably quite straight forward but would welcome your thoughts.
Henry has had a gro-clock since he was 22 months and it has been amazing. He gets up at 7.15am when the sun comes up, never any issues. Long may it last!!  8)  ;D

I am planning on giving one to M in the next week or so. She has been quite poorly and still not right so just waiting for her to be better. So my question is...do I give the gro-clock to her and get H a different clock or just buy another gro- clock?

Part of me thinks that he is older (4.5) and so maybe I should get a proper clock and give her the gro-clock, then another part thinks am I mad as he is doing so well with it i.e. why fix what isn't broken yk? Also their rooms are very dark so not sure how he would read a proper clock and can see him getting up and down to 'see' the time...

Just wanting ideas, not sure how long the gro-clock can be used with H?? Maybe now is the time to switch??

What do you think?

obviously I don't have any experience of a gro clock with older LOs, but I would always opt for the 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' route and stick with what you know works

maybe I'm just chicken though and would be too scared to change anything!

I'd just get another Groclock.

The Gro clock can show time, right?  By the time he is good at reading time, you can still use it, right?  I would just leave it until H wants another clock.  :). How come los grow so fast?!  M is old enough for one already!!

I'd most likely get another grow clock.

Me too. If its working so well with H I definitely wouldn't rock the boat! We're just going to get lights and a remote control timer for Evelyn. Then I can set it for a time but also switch it on from outside her room if needs be!
