Can babies have almond milk?

I know that formula or breastmilk is what babies drink, but in baking etc. can we use almond milk? I don't have enough extra breast milk to use and I've heard you can't freeze formula.

I don't see why not. If there is no history in your family of allergies to it. The only thing I can think of causing a problem is the phylic acid but not sure about how much of it makes it in the milk. Guess it depends on how it is processed. The acid can cause problems with absorbtion of things like calcium and magnesium. As an occasional treat it shouldn't hurt. You could try coconut milk too.

I've used almond milk in cooking and baking for my 12 mo old and have been for months, so I think it would be ok.  As with anything maybe just proceed slowly and watch for any reactions.
