Playtex Nurser Latex Nipple problems
« on: July 10, 2013, 14:44:39 pm »
We are having some problems with the latex nipples for the playtex nurser bottles.  Dd is using the fast flow nipple right jow, but we always seem to get some slower nipples in the mix, even though they are labeled fast they are super slow...

Do these nipples take awhile to loosen up or something?  Or am I just getting some dud nipples?  They were on sale so maybe theres a reason they were on sale?  It just seems that none of the nipples have the same flow rate  ???

I though about emailing, but her feeds today started going wacky because of them so I tried the silicone nipples and shes doing fine with them :)  Hopefully the silicone will be more consistent and dependable!

I always used silicon nipples (Avent though)... I have heard that latex can be inconsistent before.

It is probably the difference between the latex and silicon because I used the Platex nurser nipples too, but the silicon ones and I found the fast flow WAY too fast and ended up going to Y cut ones until DS was probably about 10months and he could only handle the fast flow ones when he was much older.
