Is custard powder ok for a gluten and dairy intolerant child?
« on: August 04, 2013, 21:12:34 pm »
This one has maize starch, vanilla and salt.
If I use neocate...then I'm assuming since maize is corn derived it is gluten and dairy free?

I'm unsure e ause when I google it says custard powder contains milko solids :-\ so I'm wondering if I'm missing something or if it's just that you typically add milk...

Anyone tried this for their LO? - I want to make banana custard or rice custard for T

Maize is gluten free. Not sure about your custard powder but think it is dairy free over here.

I've seen Edmond's custard powder in all sorts of lists for dairy and gluten free foods so I'd say it's fine (and I used it when my kids were GF and DF)
