How to transition to Cows Milk

Just curious on how everyone has gone about making the switch to milk from formula. Also about how long it took to make the switch .

My dd was about 11 months old and we were on our last tub of formula.  Since she was eating a good variety and amount of solids I figured it was time to make the switch rather than buying more formula.  I started out doing half milk half formula in her bottle and increased the amount of milk over about a week.  Tbh dd never seemed to notice or care that it was different, so for us it was a really easy switch

Thanks! We have figured out the problem is that she wants it warm. So now we have to get her back to the cold milk. Any suggestions on that would be appreciated!

Does it have to be cold?  I would just give it to her warm if she likes it that way, no battles and you know she is getting a good intake.  Sorry if I'm missing something!

No it will have to be cold just because of daycare reality that we head back to next week. In the next room it will be given to her cold. To be honest I would prefer to be able to hand her a cup straight from the fridge then having to warm it up.

We reduced formula ounce by ounce substituting for cows milk.

Re: the temp of the mik, we've always given it to get room temp - so either pop the bottle in a jug of hot water just to take the chill off or leave it out in the side for 20m or so

Hi, we just swapped one bottle a day and he didn't care infact I'd say my LO prefers it! He will take it cold from a sippy better than a bottle so we just cut out all bottles but BT one at 12 months and I just take the chill off that one, he wasn't having it at nursery anyway.

You might find she'll take it cold at daycare if that's what all the others are having too, at the same time.  But might still prefer warm at home.

Is she at daycare now? How is it going?
