I would do a later nap at home and see how she does at cm. If she still do 1.20 nap and a consistent 11.5-12 h night and doesn't look tired (I really think that this is the most important thing to look at), this could mean she has decreased her sleep needs a little. It should happen before or later... And if she decreases nap length and keeps the night, well, you are lucky, because you avoid a really tricking nap capping phase :)

tbh,she only yawns when we are in the car, but i've just noticed that she's yawning when in july, i never noticed it, kwim?
she's always been angel/textbook, but i reckon we need an extra category of "diva baby" thrown into the mix too!!!! ;)

ugh....my poor baby....we've had two bouts of "sleep-crying" already tonight....one after 90 mins & the second 45 mins later....she resettled herself both times (within seconds the second time around) but i hate to see her like this...especially cause i know when i get it right for her, these NWs don't happen....i know *i* am the one messing it up, kwim?

on a side-note, we were back at the doctor's today & she has impetigo (not ringworm which is what the "bleeping" on-call doc said it was on sunday) so she has started an oral antibiotic this afternoon...feeling like a fairly useless mammy right now. :(

Why yo feel useless? If she has a sickness it is not your fault for sure. Beside, you noticed it and brought her to the doctor and bought medicines for her. It is good to have recogized so she can start antibiotics soon if she needs it, and in case of bacterial infection the sooner the better.
Could it be antibiotic that impacts sleep tonight? I know it can give little disturbance. Also, you are doing your best and if she has changed her sleep pattern is not certainly your fault. You need time to find the right new routine, if a new one is needed. We are all doing our best. No more, no less.

you are right barbara-my head knows that but my
"virgo" personality wants everything a-ok,kwim?
it's a major flaw in me.i just find unexpected events-like
DD not sleeping the way she used to-
so hard to cope with.
anyway,sorry,im gone OT!
thanks, again, for holding my hand&talking me through
this.x

Hugs happy! I know and relate, I am a bit controller too and feel so hard to let things go with their course! But now I found that I have (for my mental sanity) accept that I can't let my kid sleep, only offering the opportunity to sleep and let him do the rest. It took me almost 4 years, but I am forcing myself to accept this now...

ok....so we got a 6.50am start this morning....much better than i had anticipated...and a happy WU too, thank goodness.
She was wrecked & yawning & rubbing her eyes all morning so i went with a 12.00 nap...i'm not entirely sure when she fell asleep cause she was turned away from the video monitor, but she woke at 1.30pm, so i'm guessing it was a 1hr 20/1hr25 nap...

I think it is good, no? A 12 h night and a 1.20 h nap seem a lot of sleep to me... It can really be what she needs... At least with 5 h a in the morning.

to be honest, i was happy out with it until it all started to catch up with her....
she only really had 11 hours last night because of taking so long to settle...
usually, she can manage ok with the 1hr 20 here at home because she's in the CM's more & she naps longer there-i think that's what's happened.
i'll let them do the 12.00 nap tomorrow at CM's but then on Friday, I'll start the 12.15 i think...
usual 7pm BT tonight or EBT?

I did wonder if the "mystery illness" wasn't helping.

((((hugs))))
