that is the tricky part lol  (as if you don't know it already! :P)  That is why I also suggested to do 2 naps and shift the wake up till closer to 7 first.  He will still be OT due to short night.  It is your call what you think would work best for you.  It seems like 5h30 is too long and he got an ok nap.  What other A times have you tried lately?  Do you medicate at nap time?

I have medicated for almost every nap the last 2 weeks with no difference so i stopped 2 days ago. A few days ago we had a nap of 2hr30 with 5hr25 A but he woke after 1hr10 and resettled. I woke him afer 2.5hrs because we had an appointment. We also had a 2hr nap with 5hr10 A. That is all at the moment. Othet days were wither insanely long A, over 6 hrs because of EW or 2nap day so A was short...

Now that i am looking back we had one night last week that was 12hrs! I think he was so tired he crashed all night, 645-645. At 1145 he was ready for a nap but we were a few minutes away from home. He went to sleep at 1155, 5hr10 A and he slept 1hr20  :-\

So do you want to shift wu till later by late bt?  Or try 5h15 A for 3 days?

Posted same time as you.

Well it might mean that after 12h night, 5h10 is not long enough for a long nap?

So confusing!! He was acting exhausted at 5hrs that is why I rushed to get him in bed for his nap at 5hrs10...
Could he have been OT by then??

It is perhaps that he is tired because he hasn't slept enough the night before, so he couldn't last longer.  So I think perhaps that's the reason why when extending A time, do it in small increments for 3 days and then add more.

oh sorry :P I was confused, too (as I am trying to have a conversation with DH about house stuff also ::))

That could be his body clock used to taking a nap earlier.

Yes maybe, although most have his A tomes have been mich much longer than that lately...
Anyways, i will see what time he wakes tomorrow before i decide what to do regarding moving eake up or sticking to 5hr15 A...

If i decide to do later bt how long should i do the cn? And bt when?? 830 or so? Oh man what a long day  :-\

My other worry is that when i get these short naps of 1.5hrs i dont really know when to do bt without wu getting earlier again. I think he can do a max of 4hr45 on a good nap, I THINK  :-\

That's what got me!  Every moment of my life was thinking about nap time and bed time!  I didn't have a life!

What do you consider good nap?  If he gets good nap, is it going to cut his night sleep??  How long was the nap when he was sleeping well and napping well?  Or do you mean to let him catch up?

I have NO IDEA if it will cut into night sleep because we always get 10hr40, with 1hr nap, 1.5hr nap and even 2.5hr nap... When we came back from the US the nap started at 3-3.5hrs and slowly got shorter. Up until 2 weeks ago the nap ranged from 1.5hr to 2hr40. It is possible that the super long naps when we got back from the US were because he was still a little jet lagged... Who knows...

Before that we were doing 4hr15/30 A with 1.5-1hr45 nap and a cn of 30min which was making an extra long day and we were getting 10.5hr nights if we had a 2hr nap we would do ebt. then we started set nap of 1130 and 630 and he got super ot. I knew we were going on vacation so i left things as is and when we were in the US naps were a mess and every day was different. Some days one nap 1.5-2hr some days 2 naps of around 1hr each.  When we got back i though it would be the perfect time to start set naps and it all went downhill.

Perhaps he isn't ready for 1 nap yet.  4.5h A to 5.5h, that's a big jump in such a short time.  let's see what tonight brings.  it might just throw us off again :P  FX for a good night!

My gut says he needs maximum 5hrs but on the other hand i dont trust myself anymore. Plus he is so OT by now that i dont know where to start... Maybe he needs even less than 5 for a few days because he is so ot???

Fx for s good night and maybe even later wu than today??   :-\
