Oh geez, its bern 20 min and he is still awake. I am pretty sure it is ut though, he doesnt seem hyper or anythig... Maybe the last few days he needed the shorter A to bed because he was so ot but after a good night last night he has caught up a but and can handle a longer A. I will never figure him out...

Hey sorry, it is a crazy busy day today!  You don't wanna know it.  I am so so dead tired.  :(. Just rushed and finished cooking dinner.  How did it go?  He woke at 5:50.  He slept 1h45 roughly.  Oh i forgot something.  For that age, I went by another theory.  I went by the total A time of the whole day.  If he needs 10.5h for the day, and he napped 1.75h, then his bt would be 12.25 after his Wu.  It sounds insane that 10-15 mins make that much difference but back when DS was 2y, if we were late by 5 mins, we would have NW and EW!

Posted after two more posts from u.  UT causing OT perhaps.  Go to bed early!!  Enjoy your holiday!!!

You should be spending time with family and family.  Let your hair down.  That is what I hadn't done in the last 4.5 years and I totally regretted.  The easiest time was over, the challenges now are so so hard!

I am back! The vacation was great but now i have one super OT LO!!

Last night was our flight and he only fell asleep at 2300!!!  :o WU today at 8, so only 9hrs. Most of the holiday nights ranged between 9-10hrs.

In 2 weeks i am going on holiday again so i know we will be in a mess again but i want to catch him up as much as possible before we go, yk? I am also wondering if i should keep to a slightly later bt than usual the next few weeks since it will be easier to keep with the routine when on holiday.

When should i do nap today? Should i go back to set nap? Ideally i think i want bt around 8pm at the moment, probably earlier the next few days to cu???

I would nap at 1pm and hope for a good one. Perhaps aim for a 7pm BT while he catches up?

I am not so sure 1 would be late enough? :-\
Lately he has been doing better naps with a longer morning A. On the other hand he is OT so I don't know...
What do I do if I beta nap of 1.5hrs? I do t think I could get him to sleep earlier than 7 after going to bed at 9pm most nights the last week...

Maya, write them down.  Look at them.  I agree that you cannot just change him around that much all the time.  It is hard on his little body.

What I would do, instead of thinking about setting up a routine, considering you have another holiday coming up, is that from 1 onward, I would just be watchful of his cues.  Keep it relaxing, once he shows tired cues, tell him, you are rubbing eyes now, perhaps it is time for a little nap, let's go.  Instead of watching the clock.  Follow his lead a bit.  If he goes to bed at 9, then so be it, at least you baby whisper and not get frustrated about making him sleep.

My 2 cents.  Hugs

I have no problem doing that koe but my inly problem is that he is rubbing his eyes all morning from the moment he woke! I really dont know when he would be ready to sleep, yk? He seems tired all the time...

He should be, too.  Ignore that and wait for really obvious cues!!  Not too soon!  We know he did better with 5.5 first A, so watch out from 5h onwards.  Sounds reasonable?

Well i did as you both suggested actually. By 1pm he was having a meltdown. He is already sleeping 2.5hrs. I will wake him by 4 (3hr nap) if he doesnt wake on his own.
What time should i do bt? I am guessing 7 pm would be way too early!

Update: woke naturally at 1540. 2hr40 nap. What bt???

Good nap!  He was doing better at 6:45, so perhaps watch him around that time again?  It beats having him lay there and throwing paci.  Fx
