When do you change to a size 3 teat?

My LO finally started taking 5-6oz every 3-3.5 hours. She is 18 weeks old and takes about 15min per feeding. When should I change to teat size 3? Thanks

They usually need to g up a size when they start taking longer to finish their feed or they are sucking so hard that they make the teat collapse. That said, you can always try the faster teat and see if she copes with it - you don't need to wait for a particular age.

Around 6 months, DS2 started taking forever to drink his bottle.  He has bad reflux, so we eased him into the faster Level 3 nipple.  I started with 1 nipple a day and then only during the day and then all bottles.  You probably don't need to do that, we just did because I was trying to be careful with his reflux.  Anyway, it was a little after 6 months and he is totally on them now at 7 months.  They can be ready sooner or later than that though.

With DS he switched at 6 months, with DD we tried switching at around 3 months since she wasn't taking a lot per bottle, but it didn't help increase her intake and was getting messy, so we switched back until recently when she was 7.5 months.

I think mine was around 6 months... I just noticed that she was taking longer than normal to finish a bottle and seemed unsettled during it (likely frustration with the flow).
