8 month old started NW every 4hrs

Hi all
My 8 month old daughter has been well established on solids & regularly sleeping through the night for well over a month now, but the past 3 nights she's started waking every 4hrs. She normally puts herself to sleep at night & with naps but on these wakings it takes a BF to settle her. During the day she still takes a BF every 4 hrs as usual & has 3 solid meals a day, although she's spending longer on the boob this past few days. Could this be a growth spurt or am I unintentionally creating a night feeding habit? How do U distinguish between the 2 & how long should I night feed before a habit forms.

Her Normal routine is:

7.00- wu
7.30 - solids
9.00 - bf
9.30-11.30 nap
12.00 - solids
13.00 bf
15.00-16.00/16.30 - nap
16.30 - snack
17.00 - bf
18.15 - solids
19.30 - bf
20.00 - bed

Hi there! 

Sounds like a gs.  Usually gs will last for 3-4 days and then things go back to normal.  I noticed with your routine that you feed solids first and then bf.  I'm wondering if you could reverse the order since milk has more calories than most solids.  So she would get milk when she wakes and then solids around 1 - 1.5 hrs after the milk.  This way, she may take more milk and may be less likely to wake at night.

 I did try milk 1st thing B4 solids & she just wasn't interested. That was a few wks ago when she was sleeping through, so it may be worth giving it another shot, she may take it she's hungry. Thx for your suggestions

Try for a few more days since it is a routine change and some babies need a bit of adjustment time.  Keep us posted.
