Thanks :-* She's gone for nap at 12.15 after a 6.30 WU today so we'll see what happens.  What nap length and BT do you do on those days?

We(almost) never get her up before 7am,even if she wakes
before that.she's happy to lay in her cot&doze/chat,thank
goodness!then we do a 12.15 nap&she's usually awake by2pm
BT stays at7pm.i tried EBT/later BT etc but it just didnt work for
us.she can still take up to25mins to actually fall asleep,
but we never need to go back in to her,so just leaving
things as they are for now&keeping fingers crossed!

Hmm, that's exactly what we did today and it's taken her the best part of an hour to fall asleep after a 1h40 nap 12.15-13.55 :(. I even tried an extra long winddown and she was snuggling into me while I read her stories before I put her down so I thought she'd settle quickly, but no.  I honestly don't know which direction to go in now, if we weren't having NWs then I'd just go with it but it's every night at the moment and I want my night sleep back!

Do you think there's any chance we somehow have some sort of prop problem?  It's been nagging at me but I can't for the life of me work out what it might be.  At BT she goes into bed fully awake, lies herself down with her lovey and another toy she likes to cuddle, I tuck her in and leave.  When I get called back or at NWs I pick up her toys (she's usually thrown them out or lost them under the duvet) and put them on her pillow.  She lies herself back down again, grabs her toys and I tuck her in and leave.  Other than not being able to tuck herself in and not being able to pick up her toys from the floor, I really can't see an issue - can anyone else?

could it be the duvet?when did the real problems start?do the two link?
is she throwing the toys up & over the cot or do they fit through the bars?

Problems started well before the duvet, in fact the first two nights of duvet and pillow were fab!  No BT resistance and I think I recall she STTN one of them.....feels like a long time ago now!  Toys do fit through cot bars but she tends to stand up and throw them.  And then they are too far to reach, I've tried teaching her to lie down and put her hand through the bars but she genuinely can't reach them if they are on the floor.  We only get the throwing at BT when she's OT or UT though as far as I can tell, at naptime there's no throwing and she (usually) goes to sleep quite quickly.  At NWs they are usually still in her bed.

Guess I'm just clutching at straws, trying to find an easy obvious answer.  In all honesty though I think our issue is nap too early, so OT at BT on nursery days and then UT at BT on non-nursery days.  But probably altogether accumulated OT by now.  Sigh.  I did so love the set nap and BT but it isn't working currently!

honestly....our setnap/BT days may be comign to an end too!!!(if it's any consolation!!!she only slept 50mins here on sat,did 1hr 40 yesterday & CM & 1hr 30 there today-the shortest in a loooong time!!!she is teething though, so i'm *hoping* that that's what's throwing us way off!!!)
did you have any luck when you spoke to the nursery?

Hi hon

If she's really ot now and u can't control naps could you pull back on BT so she can cu? I know 5 hr pm a time would be too much for my dd on a short nap...fwiw (and I know u can't control naps at DC) but since following Saras posted routine dd bt shenanigans and nws have stopped..

Wu 6.20
Nap 12.20-2.15/20
Bt 6.20 asleep guess longer am a overrides pm a

Another thought as you can't control time DC pd for nap could you wake dd earlier in am so she can have 6 h a time in the am/ pita I know but it may help get out of ut/ ot cycle so something like this

Wu 6.15
Nap 12.15-2.15 (hopefully)
Bt 6/6.15 depending on nap....

Wdyt?? xx

aishi :)

So for some reason best known to herself J slept through last night from ~7.50pm until I got her up at 7am :D. I'm guessing she just crashed after a long day but I'm not complaining!

Good thoughts Aishi, thank you :-* I think you're right that around 6h A in the morning is what she needs now. Prob need a bit longer than 12h day here though as I think expecting 14h sleep from her is too much - historically she's been on the lower end of sleep totals.  Hopefully she'll move to next nursery room soon where nap is more like 12.15/30 I think which would work quite well from our usual 6.30am WU.  So fingers crossed for chatting to them this afternoon.

Thanks for thinking of us Aishi and sorry things are still so rough for you AS :(

So J starts moving up from the 23rd :). They do a staged integration where her key worker goes with her at first and then they build up to longer periods on her own. So hopefully not too many more pre-midday naps!
