Thanks so much, Sara! It's comforting to hear from someone who has btdt that we will get through it!

Hey my weekend went GREAT! I got BOTH OF THE GIRLS DOWN...but night time is still proving to be difficult. Sarah do you remember around the time when things settled down?? Or is it just late bedtimes and broken naps for the for seeable future?

For us it wasn't so much broken naps but faffing around at BT, and nap resistance. Hence later nap, capped and same BT worked for us.

If your getting broken naps - if crying at 1 hr or so I'd say you've hit OT. If waking happy id push the nap a bit later.
If your getting BT resistance, NW wanting to play or 'cuddle' ie SA you could try a later BT, and wi/wo at NW.

We were really lucky in that when Z woke we could just given I'm a bottle and he went  back to sleep, and it never became a prop. He also easy to read (for me) so I worked him out pretty quick.

You do have to make some small adjustments, then hold and try to ride it out. The 2 yr one I think lasted a few weeks here. It coincided with a huge language spurt.

Sounds developmental ladies,

Agreed, I remember this too. I'd say just keep offering the nap at the same time and go with the flow from there.

Emma, I'm presuming your DD is 'Angel' LOL, what a little treasure :) x.

She is an angel for sleep for sure!  (It's 8:30 here and she's not up yet so will probably end up with a NND)

Vicki, you saying that actually just made me take the quiz as she definitely has some angel qualities but is no way a full out angel!  She is pretty feisty :) I think she's a mix of angel and spirited... We always say when she's up she's up and when she's down everybody knows it!  We get comments all the time about how delightful she is (and she is, obviously!), but wow it can turn around too!

LOL Emma, I love it, she sounds great. DS started out 100% angel, then went around 75% spirited 25 % texbook in what seemed like a nano second! It was a shock as I had never considered they could change  ::) :o  ;) Wouldn't change his spirited ways for the world though.

Omg yes!  She was an angel baby and after her 1st birthday this whole other side to her emerged.  I struggled quite a bit around 13-16 months where she just seemed so frustrated, but I love watching her blossom, and she is a pretty awesome 2yr old!  :D

She is still baffling me though - she's gone from skipping naps and seemingly a big drop in sleep needs, back to normal, and now has gone the other way.  She seems so tired and is napping after her 8:45 start!  ???

This is common Hun from what I gathered as a sleep mod LOL. It's usually linked to year and half year birthdays, but almost always developmental.
