Much better night last night. Only woke once, gave her about 100ml and put her straight back down and that was her until 6.45am...result!

Going to try exactly the same routine today, we are out visiting this afternoon so she'll need to nap in her pram but this normally isn't a problem.

Didn't go to plan at all. She only slept for an hour in the morning and 45 minutes in the afternoon, had another 40 minute nap around 3.20 but managed to keep her awake till bedtime.  Up 3 times but I'm trying to remain positive. She doesn't seem to be very good at self settling at night. She can at nap times and when we first put her to bed but this might be the problem. Any tips on how to help her do this?

Hugs.  Sorry that yesterday didn't go to plan. With regards to settling in the MOTN, does your dd have a lovie or comfort item?  What I've started doing with my dd is to pick her up, sing her lullaby and then give her the blanket which she snuggles and then I put her down.  Seems to be working out well for nw's (previously I had been feeding her but I'm in the process of weaning).  Do you think something like that might work for your dd?

I usually give her a muslin to take to bed. I didn't really want her having one particular item mostly in case something happened to it or it needed washed!

I normally pick her up and cuddle her till she settles then pop her back in her cot. She seems to go from silence to screaming in seconds, its quite strange. She definitely seems to be dropping the CN. The last 3 days she hasn't slept after 4.30 and made it to bedtime around 7 or 7.15pm. Only up twice through the night which was fine.

Yeah, I usually have several comfort items (my DS still has his 4 lovies).  May be get another muslin cloth just in case.

If she's fighting the CN, then I would start to drop it.  Fx that things continue to improve.

Oh I've got loads of muslin's, don't want to be caught short.

She's not had a CN now for a week and things are much better. Still up at least once but i can live with that. I'm sure even that will get better eventually. Just need to stretch the activity tr between naps as she's still tired 2 hours after getting up from her morning nap but we're getting there slowly.

Thanks!

Still a bit hit and miss but there isnt really any particular reason i can find for her waking. Looks like i'll just have to put up with it until it resolves itself. She's a happy baby and pretty settled so it could be a lot worse. I can extend her time between morning and afternoon nap to almost 3 hours but she'll still only sleep for 30 minutes most of the time meaning a CN is still needed around 3 or 4 some days.

Yes, unfortunately that's the way it is.  2 steps forward, 1 back.  It's alright to have a CN now and then.  Gosh, my 13 mo old had three naps the other day!

Last two nights she's only been up once so I'm hoping this continues. I can cope with that for the time being! Bliss compared to 3 weeks ago.
