Do you feel that you being there distracts him from sleeping? I would honestly set up the Groclock and be unequivocal about it, that he is not allowed out of his room until he sees the sunshine.

I only slept with him last night because he was soo tearful and was really scared for some reason. I'm going to buy the gro clock this week God willing. I showed him the gro clock on the net and I explained to him how it works. So hopefully it helps God willing, but for the time being I'm trying to adjust his BT to see if it helps with his EWs.

I've run out of ideas of what to do to help DS2 sleep pass 6 or sometimes pass 5 on days like today. I bought him gro clock and explained it to him and he's STILL waking up at 5 or 6am. I've tried putting him in bed at 6,7,8 or even 9pm and he's STILL waking up at 6am.

I'm exhausted and really can't keep up with these EWs. I have a 1year old that's not sleeping great in the nights and having to be woken up at 5-6am is not what I want.

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

What does he do when he wakes up early? How do you respond? What time do you start your day?

Hugs, it's really tough. What time would you like him to wake up? Are you sticking to the same time BT for a good few days rather than changing it regularly?

What I reccommend at this age is sticking to the same bt as much as you can. And planning a 11.5 h night (or even a 11 h night at first) starting from bt. Then set the gro clock for the wu time that results. So, if you want him sleeping past 7, I would set bt at 7.30-8 and stick with it several days in a row. If he becomes ot, move forward to 7-7.30 for that day, but not on a regular basis, otherwise wu will move early (at least, for us it is what happens if I do ebt several times in a row). The other thing is being very firm that he has not to get up before gro clock. it generally works well, but you need full consitency.
How is his behavior during the day?
