All change
« on: October 30, 2013, 07:28:07 am »
My 2 1/2 year old was doing beautifully- nap 12.30-2.00 sometimes 2:30. Then bed 7:15- 7:00 am. However with clocks change and colds he is now waking at 6:20, which isn't as early as early as I have had but still too early. So have shortened nap to 1 1/2 hrs but wondering what else to try.
+ just put him in a big boy bed.

Has he got a Groclock so that he knows if it is morning or not when he wakes up?

Do you think he's getting OT? Is he getting less sleep than previously?

You might need to try EBT to catch up for a bit if a Gro clock doesn't help with EWs.  What time is he asleep at BT now?

He has a gro clock but which stops him getting up but he still wakes early. He is getting less sleep but it seems to suit him, wondering whether I need to push his nap out and cap??

Hi!

I would perhaps try pushing the nap out but only by 15m. I wouldn't cap at this stage and consider a slightly earlier BT. Is he still going to bed at 7.15/7.30? If so, I'd perhaps shoot for a 6.45/7pm BT and see how that pans out?
