Yes, don't pump if you're not feeling off....better to keep the milk supply down

Heat before and cold after gives feedback to the breasts to open milk ducts fully to allow free flow (hot) and then to close and stop production (cold) so by all means, yes.
if DD doesn't drain the R side during 1 feed, do i pump to drain it?or do i wait & put her back on the R for the next feed?
there is really no such thing as draining the breast...so don't pump to drain it, no. If you still feel full even after a full feed, the cold compresses should help.

How are you feeding? One-side each feed or two?

ugh....bottles would be so much easier!!!(i know, they come with their own problems, but boy, sometimes i wish i had never BF DD1, then i wouldn't feel under pressure to BF DD2...kwim?....and no....i don't *really* wish that....i guess i just wish that you could get the benefits of breastmilk through a carton!!!)

Oh and yes, lecithin granules really do help. Thats what I take.
1Tbsp mixed in a bit of juice every day.

just wanted to post some good news for a change!!!!

both boobs are behaving themselves...for the past 2 days!!!yay!!!!
i think we have beaten this thing!!!!
BW 1..mastitis nil!!!!

thanks so much to all you wonderful ladies who held my hands & pointed me in the right direction ...
ye are more knowledgable than anyone i've met IRL....love & hugs to you all.xxx
