Done nursing at BT - now what?
« on: November 17, 2013, 20:04:42 pm »
DD (15 months) still nurses in the morning but she's lost interest in nursing before bed.  Should I replace the feed with a cup of milk or just cuddle her and put her to bed?

It's up to you really. We just had a sippy of water by the bed and my two boys drink milk on demand throughout the day. I didn't really want to get into having a big drink of milk before bedtime as it really doesn't help with night time dryness. But your LO is young so you probably aren't thinking about that just yet.
You're looking at your LO having three portions of milk or dairy products each day. One is the morning BF, the other two might be cheese or yogurt or a cup of milk (or on cereal).

You could always add in a story and snuggle where the BF used to be.  Think that's what I did when DS stopped.  Have just done cuddles with DD since she stopped, though.

She gets lots of dairy during the day so I think I'll just go for a snuggle and a story.  Thanks :)
