Hi ladies. So here what's going on now. We had 2 good days. On the day before yesterday she had 45min Am nap then 1hr20mins PM nap(she woke up on her own for PM nap). then Yesterday 45min AM nap and 1hr30mins PM nap(i woke her for both) but she was yawning and tired looking during second and third As (i think she didnt get enough rest the day before). This am she woke up early which usually means that she is OT (i w2s her for the past 4 days).
Also she is taking a long time to fall asleep for her both naps and BT. Sometimes she starts crying as soon as we put a sleep sack on, sometimes when I lay her in the crib, or when i start to walk away. Sometimes she just whines there for 15mins and almost falls asleep few times and then wakes up again. Sometimes I need to pu/pd and wi/wo. I do spend lots of time with her during A and try to give her more cuddles right before I put her in the crib but she pushed away so i just lay her in the crib and she start crying??? Just because of this I am not sure if it's SA.

so I am not sure if she is OT or UT before naps and BT since it takes her 10-15-20 mins to fall asleep. Since she had an EWU today her morning A was longer then usual so I though if she is UT before naps this will make her fall asleep fast. Not the case. Same thing for the PM nap, she was whining then almost fell asleep and then crying. I did pu/pd and wi/wo but she just wasn't giving in and kept throwing her bunny around and cryng so  I had to APOP and feed and rock her to S.

I'm not sure what to do now.

Hi amj!

Well, it does sound like your routine is getting a little better. So thats good! Its just the crying before naps/bt thats an issue right now? And to be honest i cant really suggest anything, im sorry, except keep up with the pu/pd in hope that she realises that this is nap time i need to sleep. I actually am not sure why she would have an issue with self settling all of a sudden, apart from SA or teething pain. Or that she doesnt want to go to sleep she wants to stay up & play with mummy! Just keep being consistant i guess xx

i don't think she is in pain because she is fine during A, it's just she doesn't want to go to sleep. My mystery LO. I guess i'll stick with the same schedule than. Thanks Jodes!

I winder if it would be helpful to start a new thread around pu/pd or other methods to help with getting her self settling again? See if others can help you on that! X

ok i will thanks. DD just woke up after only 35mins of S screaming and exhausted. I couldn't resettle her. I onder if it is worth it to do set naps now if it could be SA? then I would need to give her EBT but that means EWU for sure

If you do set naps then I would set bt as well.  I wouldn't do it early.

Would you recommend sticking with set naps since it's taking her so long to fall asleep? Should I then start wind downward early and if she falls asleep later then expected I still wake her at the set WU right?
P.S. If it's SA should I still stick with set naps?

Since all yor days are so different yes I would try set naps. I'd put her down about 10 mins before the set nap time.  I wouldn't let her go more than 10 mins over the set wake up time regardless of when she fell asleep.

I don't think sa should stop you doing set naps no
