Only 12hours at three is amazing!! Try 12hr day but be ready to bring forward by half an hour...

He is so tired :( I don't think he will last 12 hrs but I also don't think he will sleep more than that ??? So I don't know what to do as WU can't get any earlier than 6am or it becomes ridiculous. :-\

This am at 4.30 I covered him up again with his duvet and he slept till 6.30 so I'm hoping the real ew was him cold. But then I'm not that keen to be up every night at 4.30 covering him up ::)

Could you sleep him in something warmer to try and prevent that? Although I'd take 1min at 4.30 over an early start?!

Mine both never did more than 11 hours at that age. There were lower  sleep needs babies and it just followed that pattern all the through.  One is now 6 and the other 3.  They didn't start sleeping in or falling alseep earlier no matter how much I set up the routine to do that.  At some point, you just say "oh well, this is how its gonna be  ::)"

Laura problem is at BT the room is hot! 27-28 degrees c usually. It's overnight the temp drops a lot. We have heaters but they won't change much as it's not actually cold 18-20 degrees, but cold if uncovered YK?

Well I'm gutted. Fantastic night before last 13 hrs :o 6-7. But last night was the pits. Long NW at 2-3 and was woken by t screeching at 1. Then angry ew at 5.30 - wouldn't resettle. Up at 6.10. I am not sure if this cumulated OT behaviour or to do with PT (we are day 2 day only and he said he's waking at night when he wees :-\ )

Hi hon... have u tried teaching z to put blanket on himself? my Z was waking cold too and kept asking me to cover him up so we practiced during day...a lot of...cold? blanket on. hot? blanket off. And practiced during bt too...could something like that work?

What does he wear to sleep? ds is currently in fleecy onesies so feet covered too and two blankets ::) ::) and a little heater on all night..its freezing here tho...and the cold triggers a never ending cough!

Hugs hon 1-0 is a major pita. Were still having problems with ot!

He can pull the covers up, but I think he wakes and he isn't tired enough to go back to sleep when he does wake, he sees it's light (DLS means sun is up at 5.30 ugh) and just won't resettle even with blackouts - he sees the tiny bits of light ::)

He's In cotton pjs light but long sleeved and legged. Any more and he cooks.

DD had lots of sleep troubles when potty training.  She was soooooo tired.  Go back to a short nap if he needs it during potty training :)  DD1 also started waking earlier when potty training, eventually she went back to sleeping longer but it took a few weeks...because she was well established on no nap, we just dealt with it and stuck with no nap.

Haha. So annoyed at mil who told him when the sun is up it's daytime...ummm he is in bed before it's dark and I don't want him up at 5am thank you ::)

So...he is foul....my boy doesn't cope well with OT at all. He is too touchy. I had to pd for a nap or I was going to loose the plot. So he's asleep at 11.30am. I know we will be up half the night 'maybe' but I'm hoping not :(

Tink, I think that the PT may be it. He has never come out of his room before. He also hasn't had a long alert NW like this in forever. Poor thing, he really is doing so well with everything going on given his sensitive nature but with everything going on I'm having to try so hard to be patient.

Thinking back, dd1 dropped the nap, then dd2 was born so she went back to napping some days.  Then we tried potty training, and she didn't completely catch on but through the whole process she did need to nap every day almost.  It was the final attempt at potty training that we pushed through with no naps.  So he probably does need to nap right now, it just wears them out poor little things :(

We did pt at the same time as nap dropping too (DS was 2) and it was hard work! Hugs to all of you - it's one of those things that is painful at the time but once done gives you so much more freedom. It's worth it!
