Beginning solids also aids development in other ways which may be worth taking into consideration as you choose which route to take.

How long will it take to get his stomach used to any kind of solid? I know that such a question is a serious, gross generalization because all babies are different. Every attempt has yielded more avocado in the diaper and less poo look and I was just wondering how long it took everyone's LO to recognize the nutritional value of what they were now being fed.  Does it take a few weeks? A month of consistent eating?

I imagine it will be better in my month but really my kids still have some recognisable foods in their poos at 2yo and 4yo. I really would not worry about it.
