Not sure why but after the night where he slept through the last two nights have been awful.

Friday night he woke at 11pm, 12am, 1am and 4am.  We didn't go in for the first three wake ups as he was only just half crying and he went back to sleep himself after 10mins each time.  At 4 am he was quite upset so after waiting 10 - 15 mins to see whether he was going to self settle I went in and fed him. He then slept til 6am.

Last night he woke at 12am and Daddy went in as LO was quite upset, then he woke again at 3.30 and daddy settled again but he woke again at 4 and after listening to him half crying for 30mins I went in and fed him and he slept til 7.15am.

Not sure if me feeding him around 4am ish was the right thing or not.  These nights were quite unusual in their pattern even before night weaning. On both occasions I figured he needed the comforting and felt given what had happened before sending in Daddy might mean an early wake up.

This is a little frustrating given the previous night he had slept through and we seem to have gone back a couple of steps.  We will carry on with what we have been doing and fingers crossed!

To be honest Friday sounds really good. i don't even count NWs where he settles himself - those are victories, not problems! There will be good and bad nights, let's see where you are in a few days.

Ok well we seem to be down to just the one wake up in the night, which for the last four nights has been between 2.30 and 3.30.  Each night daddy has gone in and settled him fairly quickly.  But LO only drops off for half an hour and then is up and crying again.  So each time I have then gone in and fed him, and then he sleeps til 6.30-7am ish, which isn't bad.

I am assuming that given he's rewaking so soon after daddy has settled him that it could be genuine hunger. He isn't eating much I think in the evening at the moment despite me trying various food options with him in the hope he will eat a little more.

I think we will continue to send daddy in when he first wakes and hope LO eats more in the day.

What do you think?

That sounds like a plan. You could try giving him a little bowl of porridge or banana or something last thing before bedtime routine?

The last two mornings LO has woken between 4.30 and 5:-( he has woken once in the night in the early hours but has settled without being fed which is good.  I don't know why he is now waking early. When he does wake I have gone in and fed him in the hope he will get sleepy and fall asleep but he is just too wide awake.

I'm not sure why this is happening, it's really unusual for him to wake so early twice in a row. I'm wondering whether if when he woke in the night I should have fed him and perhaps he would have woken up later?
