I know DD2 never managed 4 hours, cant remember DD1 (though she always fed in 5 min no matter what!). DD3 can go 4 hours but her A times are high so in order to get good naps we do EAEAS...but the odd time she has a longer stretch her feeding time is the same.

Thanks - I couldn't remember if we made it for longer stretches but time stayed roughly the same... or not. We're working on 3+ hrs though the last feeds of the day work around bedtime. Would the 3mth growth spurt have day requirements as much as night? Eg we were waking nearly every two hours last night (though could have been from the screw up day) yet doesn't seem overly different or hungry today.

I think it depends on the baby...DD3 ups her daytime feeds during growth spurts, nothing at night except being disturbed by new talents (currently working on crawling so wakes up in the motn on her hands and knees and cant settle!).

Both of my boys did/ do 4 hr stretches and are super-efficient feeders too...always have been.

Mine were both on 4hrly feeds by 4.5mo and started solids at 6mo. I know many bf LOs don't make it to 4hr feeds until they are having solid foods in between by about 6-7mo.
