PU/PD for naps and bedtime...what about night wakings?
« on: January 21, 2014, 05:03:52 am »
Just today we started PU/PD. I feel like it's going "okay" but I'm not sure what to do when she wakes up every hour at night.

A bit of history: She is 6 months old and wants to nurse to sleep. Will not take a pacifier. For the past 2 weeks she has been up every 1-2 hours at night, always needing the boob to get back to sleep.

Do I do PU/PD even in the middle of the night? I honestly don't think I can do it. I'm too exhausted, I can't stand there with her for an hour each time she wakes. Is that my only option?

yes if you are working on independent sleep, you would do it at night as well. At 6 months, your lo should b able to sleep between 4-6hrs for the first stretch and then perhaps an early morning feed between 4-5am so i would probably feed if close to that and do pu/pd for the other night wakings. is your lo still on 3 naps?
