Thanks for the input.
Well, he is now poorly with a cold so I can't judge his sleep needs particularly well.  Needing more sleep has gone on for a few weeks (maybe 3 weeks since we start 6.15 BT rather than 6.45) but the more recent extra tiredness might well have been the cold coming on (the last week). Been doing 5.45BT and he goes down easy but there's been some MOTN chatting sometimes awake and sometimes sleep talking and times I can hear him awake and just huffing and puffing like he can't get back to sleep. Hard to know if that was related to illness coming on, or developmental leaps waking him or UT NWs from such an early BT. I'll have to wait until his cold has cleared before I can make sense of it.
Several illness NWs last night, meds, water, wee, water, coughing, wet the bed for the first time in over 4 months, took a long time to fall back to sleep and then EW  at 5.30 and didn't go back to sleep ::)
