Waking an hour or less after putting to bed
« on: January 25, 2014, 01:03:02 am »
I'm trying to figure out why for the past few nights but not every night my 7 mo old who never wakes at night is suddenly waking an hour or so after putting him to bed. One night he was gassy or when I pick him up he burps. I've been trying to burp him after bottle before bed but I haven't burped him in a long time and he hasn't had any issues until this past week. Could there be another reason? Thanks

Have a look at these links as they summarise fairly well reasons why babies may wake at night

10 reasons (other than hunger) a baby can wake at night
Another reason (other than hunger) night wakings can occur

From memory, he is awake for 4 hrs before bedtime...that for us would surely lead to overtiredness and night wakings!
