Yes probably, at least until he catches up and then you can push it back out

I would probably do

WU 5
Nap 1-230
BT 7

It will probably take a few days for his nights to lengthen. It took us 4 or 5 days and was very tired and moody, especially after being woken from the nap! It will get better!

Thanks. yesterday was a wierd day due to having construction on the house he had a 30min CN and a 1hr nap in the afternoon with BT at 7:15. He cried out at 4:50 so I thought he was up but he ss and its 6:10 and he just woke up. So I think less sleep in the day is the way to go.. Just so weird he went from bad to good to bad so quickly... Funny how I saw on the news just yesterday that prolonged loss of sleep can lead to irreversible brain damage in adults...oh joy.

I agree with Maya.  I think you need to cap the nap shorter to get longer nights, aka later WUs.

Hi there,

Just to chuck in my two penneth worth...

I think a morning A of 8h on a short night is too much and is likely to make him more OT perpetuating your sleep problems. Also iiwm I'd stick to a max 13h dy and perhaps do something like this:

WU: 5am
Nap: 12 (capped at 1.5h)
BT:6pm

My theory is this, if you can get a couple of good nights and on top of the it you'll have more chance of success in pushing the nap and BT out

What do you think?

Hi Hena I agree with you. Luckily he did a 6:15 wakeup yesterday so did a 7:30 bt. 1.5hr nap and got a 6:15 wakeup today. so should I do

6:15
napt 1-2:30
bt 7:15 or just stixk with 7:30.

He did wake happy and in a good mood which is nice.

Personally I'd stick with a 7.15pm BT, even of that's when you put him to bed

Glad that you've had some improvement x

ok so things have gone a bit odd again. The calling out for him to go back to sleep isn't working he just starts screaming. It's wierd. every morning like clockwprk he stirs at 5:30.  he'll go back to sleep on his own but I'm wondering why he's so restless at this exact time.  yesterday he work at 6am and was just up. I tried and he did dose a few min in my bed but not much.   Teeth maybe? The other thing is he is so so so grumpy after I wake him from his nap every day.  Im talking whining and throwing himself on the floor somedays for a good 1/2hr. there's the odd day where he'll be happy but those are rare. Is this normal?

currently we are doing.

wake between 6-7. normlly 6:30 but occasionally 6 and occasionally 7.
nap time 1-2:30 occasionally 12:45-2:15 if he wakes at 6 and hes just not himself.
bt 7:30. There have been days I tried for ebt if he wakes at 6 bit he still wont fall asleep till 7:30.

Today he stirred at 5:30 was restless untill 6 thrn was up. Not sure what the deal is. He's onky been on a capped nap for like 3 weeks and it was going great. He was so mad this morning when I wouldnt get him up.  after a bit of screaming and crying he went back to sleep so I dont think it's UT?

Ok so we are getting the 5am wakings. occasionally I can get him back to sleep but mostly he just rolls around and cries until I get him up. I dont start the day till 6 I.e. lights on etc. His day was

w:6:30
nap 1-2:30
bt 7:30

then we did the milk trial but im not sure thats the issue as he seems pretty eager to get up in the am and most times not telling me his belly hurts or anything like that. I thought teeth so Ive been doing dm for a week but not helping. But after his nap he is a monster regardless if I wake him or he wakes himself. He a crying snotty mess for a good 20-30min just wants to go back to sleep. And now hes waking at 5am. I broguht bt back to 7 but he's not normally a tacker so I havent tried earlier. what to do?
