17mo back to nw after having recovered from major illness.
« on: February 09, 2014, 02:40:40 am »
My 17mo been sleeping through the night, but since early Jan this year after he had a major cold and cough that lasted for nearly a month he was unable. to get back to his usual slp patteen even after he has recovered for more than 2 wks. He wakes at night unsettled, need  us to go into his room and watch and.pat him back to slp. Abt 3-5 times nw every night and also started early waking at 5, 530am ( used to be 630). Wat can I do? It doesn't seem to be a phase that will go off, nothing changes to his routine or diet. Not currently teething also. I'm helpless!

Has he been an independent sleeper in the past?

You say he needs you guys to sooth him to sleep. Have you tried WI / WO? I was having some success with that when my DS had a hard time going down by himself (though now my little guy has a cold, so that's on hold).
