Hi
My son is 12 months old and I think we have a severe case of accidental parenting. I'm having severe problems getting my son to sleep, and I think much of it is due to his refusal to eat - as he used to sleep before but it got much worse with him not eating. I put him in the high chair and he just point blank refuses food - this has been getting worse and worse to the extent that he will only take his bottle. This has been going on for weeks now, so I can safely rule out teething, we don't try to force feed, and we don't make a fuss of it either. I've also tried any amount of foods - even his firm favourites and this is a no no too.
I think some of this is our routine and what we are doing as I am reading that many people are giving only 2 bottles at this stage. I'm hoping people will share theirs - in terms of time, but also how much milk / no of bottles per day.
Breakfast. About 7.00. We offer solids and finger food first. Solids can range from cereal (porridge and ready brek) to yoghurt. Finger food can be toast, fruit, etc. Followed by approx. 150 ml milk.
Lunch. About 12 noon. We offer solids - most of which are from the Annabel Karmel Recipe book - so chicken curry, veggie, pasta etc. followed by yoghurt or a fruit compot. Finger food can be cheese, fruit, rice cakes. Followed by approx. 60 ml milk.
Tea. About 4.30. We offer solids and finger food similar to lunch. Followed by approx. 60 ml milk.
Supper. About 6.30 - We offer 210 ml milk.
We also water / very diluted juice in between.
Here's hoping someone can help!!
Luv from a very sleepy mum.
