Oh Hun I'm sorry. I'm away ATM but be back tonight with some thoughts. Toms a bit all over the map too. How are DS molars? - does medication help at all?

That's ok. I know you've been away :) how was the concert?

This boy has learned so much this last 2 weeks - he's picked up about 5 or 6 words and numerous noises and games that we play. He's transformed from a baby to a toddler in the space of a week! I don't remember this with L!?

Tonight was the first night he went to bed with no crying :) routine was a bit different. I'm writing it mainly for my own reference

WU: 6.50 (very early for him, usually I have to wake him at 8.30)
S: 11.15-2.40
BT: 6.50/7 (no crying for the first time in weeks!) :)

Will see how the night goes.

Yes! This is. What I was going to ask/see. I remember with Z and now with T 16 mths was the 'start' of true toddlerhood, and also the start of language - real words and full comprehension YK? We had good and bad periods like 2-3 rough days then maybe 5 good ones. This is what T is doing too. I'm trying to be a wee bit flexible ATM but also consistent YK?

Fx for the night. If you get a long nw it will prob be ut :-\

Better night - NW at 2.15 and I went in and he kept standing up. I know he didn't eat much last night so might have been hungry so I gave him milk. When I tried to leave the room the first time when he was drinking the milk he cried but I reassured him and then left and he went to sleep fine and slept until 8am :)

I had my alarm set for 7.30 to start the day but I couldn't get up! Oops! Were going to toddlers this morning and he's always really tired after that so I'm hoping he naps 12.45-2.45 and then I'll do bt around 7.30

I can't believe the change in C - he has picked up so much - it's crazy! I'm actually a little sad that my baby has gone now :(

Aww yeah they grow up fast :-*
That plan looks good. We had a bit of a rubbish nap today and he's had a cry out 45 mins after BT...I think we have molar trouble today ::)

Just keep in mind that his days are really short and that if you keep getting NW, or long chatty ones - and resistance for BT, ew etc that this could be UT

So this is weird! Yesterday we had

WU 8
S 12.45-2.35
BT 6.40 - he was crying and asking to go to bed from about 5.45 and I was so surprised! The crying and tantrums and tiredness got the better of me and I just put him down. He slept all night? No bt battle and no NW! Ha!

It's very strange! Were defo going to have a longer day today though because he woke at 6.15 and even if he naps 2 hours - I won't put him down before 6.30 or I'll have another really early morning?

I think it sounds like teeth Hun. Ts been doing a little of this, a few rough days then cu days and nights when he is really sleepy. It's good that he tells you when he is tired though, t goes and goes and goes ::)

Yeah he climbs on me and cuddles in and sucks his thumb and if I ask him if he's tired he takes me to the stair gate and hopes that I open it and take him to bed! Haha! Even the days where he fights bt, he still asks for bed but doesn't fight it until I put him in his cot.

So after the 6.15 wake up today I went to the gym this morning so we never got back until just before 12, he was asleep for 12, 5.45 is a long A for him so hopefully he naps well.

I agree about the teeth - I rubbed the gum where these canines are coming in and felt a jaggy tooth.

Poor guy! We had a rough few weeks of one tooth after another which lead to off days. It seems like you're doing everything the best you can! It's so hard when they are hurting and sad, but I love the extra cuddles I get from it.

Dunno want to do - c always slept until like 7.30/8 and sometimes much later but these last 2 days he's woken at 6.15 and today was 5.50!! I can't function! I'm horribly grumpy and I don't know what to do!?

He can barely manage a 12hr day with a 2hr nap as it is, need mind longer :(

Hun Dyt he is just used to going down at those times, so seems cranky and tired but then is ew because he actually isn't? :-\ - I'm not saying that's the dad, but could be a possibility?

Otherwise my bet would be teeth! Grrrrrr teeth

Yeah possibly Sara - May be habit! He was awake at 11.15 last night and then 11.45 and I medicated and he eventually went back to sleep. Then up for the day at 5.50! Back last month I had even resettled at 7am for another hour and he did that fine lol but now there's NO WAY of resettling at 5.50 - he was screaming to get up. Even when he wakes at 7.30/8 he doesn't do that, he's normally happy to chat for a bit!

I'm lost with what to do now today? Is 6 A too long after an EW? Were supposed to be at toddlers so I could keep him up?

WU: 5.50
S: 11.50-2.20/30
BT: 7.30

IIWM I'd prob still cap the nap at 2 hrs or the ew may persist (you  an get into an ut/OT) loop :-\
So try for 12-2 then shoot for BT of 6.30 if you get a good night (and not teething nw) then you know he needs a longer day to have a solid night now YK? - we would get stuck (and still do) with a few good days, a few bad and it was always due to needing a touch more A or later nap. So the good nights etc were the result of tired enough from the short ones - which were from ut iykwim.

Eek sorry am I making sense! (If your. OT happy with 2 hrs nap maybe try 2hrs15) ???

No I'm good with 2hr - just worried that it wouldn't be enough for a 12.5hr day kwim? Actually I let him sleep 2.5 yesterday because he woke early so that might have also been a problem?

I guess I'm aiming for a 7.30am WU which would be ideal - do you think u should try and aim for bt of 6.30 or try and keep him up until 7?
