Vomit after soy?
« on: February 23, 2014, 17:26:33 pm »
So dd2 had 2 little vomits after eating some soy cream cheese type product...but it wasnt immediately after, it was actually after she had her bottle about an hour after the soy.

Do you think soy is a problem?  There was also some coconut oil I think, so it was quite rich, maybe just upset her tummy?  She has had other soy things, but only small amounts...feeling unsure about giving her soy again  :-\

Mmm hard to tell...could have been a coincidence...or not ;)
Has she had coconut before?

Hugs - food is such a hard thing to work out when they're little

Yes, she eats coconut milk yogurt but only in small amounts.

She had some of my soy milk last week, I think she would have vomited after that if soy were a problem?

I 'think' sometimes reactions can be reserved for 2 or 3rd time trying a food. BB is that right?
She may have a sensitivity. :-\ or if it's an intolerance it can show up as the food builds up in the system.

Any other noticeable reaction to it or just the vomit?

Allergic reactions can show themselves after the first or second exposure of the food as the first exposure can activate the allergy and then the second one is one that produces the reaction.

Of course an intolerance can build through exposure.

Tink, with this situation I would be tempted to try with another small bit of soy and watch for a reaction. It could have been anything to cause that bit of vomit YK. Good Luck xx
