Early waking 15 months
« on: March 30, 2014, 05:13:55 am »
So we been in the 2-1 switch for a while and was getting there. We'd got activity time up to 5-5.15 hours awake time and was mostly getting a good nap and mostly early bed. Mostly our day would look like this. Wake 6.15-6.30 nap 11.30-11.45-13.45 14.00 early bed 6-6.30. We then started introducing cows milk we think he has intolerance, and he's cut 3 out of 4 canines and we is a mess. We've decided he seem ok with cows milk product but not the cows milk so stopped that and think he is still cutting 1 tooth but the last 3 weeks have been a mess last 3 weeks awake time been 5.15-5.30 last 2 days 4.15! We've also started nursery and on occasions he's only getting 45 mins sleep all day! We've tried 1 nap and early bedtime at. 5.45. Last 2 days we had 1st day. 5.15 up 1st nap 8.30-10.30 2nd nap in car 14.30-15.15 bed 6.30 then yesterday tried 4.15 awake 1st sleep 8.45 I woke him at 9.30 then back asleep 12.45-15.15 we tried later bed of 7.15 asleep by 7.30 but up again at 4.15! He always self soothes for naps and we leave him mostly an hour to try and leave him to go bk to sleep but are feeding him

This is a crazy age, they got through regressions around 15/16 mths then again closer to 18 mths. Teething, sa and a need to have their A times increased usually causes the problem, which fast becomes and UT/OT loop ::)

Are you doing anything to help with the teething pain?

What did the last to days look like EAS wise, also if he had any NW and how long he took to settle at BT.
Is he an independent sleeper ATM for all sleeps or just naps?

He goes to sleep independently at bed time and all
Naps he's never slept through completely except a handful when he's gone 7-5 but then not gone bk off. Sat up had been in bed till 7 woke midnight given pain relief gel and drink settled bk off. Woke 3am gave teething gel pain relief drink. Quiet for a bit think went to sleep woke up 4.15 where we ended up
Feeding left till 5.45 starting to get very upset. we leave him
If he's not crying as long As we can and try to ignore him once we covered pain feed and nappy. 1st nap straight to sleep 8.45-9.15 when I woke him. Then put bk down 12.45 straight to sleep and woke by us at 15.15 think he'd have slept longer. Put to bed at 7.30 took some settling but asleep
For 8. It's unusual for him not to go straight off. 3.15 fed went bk off woke 4.15 took till 6 but went bk to sleep after pain relief etc, not as upset just seemed awake. Then woke at 7.30 which is first time in ages. So we did 1 nap
Day bed for 12.45 straight to sleep up 14.15 put down at 7 very upset again unusual but asleep by 7.30. Up
At 12 for about 1 hour upset pain relief feed given then at 4 didn't go in as settled himself after bout 20 mins and up for day at 7.15! Think clock change helped Us

I think the 2 naps is giving him too much day sleep Hun. They get into ut/OT loops. :-\ at this age if on two naps I would think your looking more at something like a 30 min CN in the am and longer PM nap of no longer than 2 hrs. The day will be long too.

If your ready to jump to one nap then I think you have to pull the nap earlier. On a 7.30 WU I'd try a nap around 12-2.30 BT 7.30

What do you think?
