What does your 7-9 month EASY look like?
« on: March 31, 2014, 14:34:25 pm »
Hello everyone (once AGAIN lol)

My little man is quickly approaching 7 months and is can see his schedule changing. I am now thinking how is 3plus hours of A time (when he gets there) and all the solid/bottle feeding going to fit in with his 2 naps.
I have looked through the sample schedules but was hoping to get more current schedule examples of babies 7/8 months old... I would really appreciate it.

Thanks everyone!

Hi there,

It's been a while since my LO was 7/8 months old but I know at that time she was still having 4 bottles of milk during the day and one as a DF, and I was doing BLW for solids so she wasn't really taking much at that point. I did feel like all of our A time was essentially feeding though. It is quite a busy few months learning to take solids at that point but it does ease.
I'm hope some others will be along soon with what they are doing.

WAKE-630/7. Feed him, but leave him in his crib until 730.Usually sleeps for 15min or so more in this time.
SLEEP 10amISH---usually for 1.45hrs
WAKE-12ISH----WAKE for 2.45-3hrs
SLEEP 245/3pm--usually for 1-1.5hra
WAKE 4ISH
BED-715/730

Note--- he use to wake like clockwork at 720, but recently keeps waking earlier.

It does sound you're in the beginning of the 2-1. Those early WUs could be a sign that the first nap needs to be pushed a little later.

Have you ready this?

From 2 to 1 nap transition (10-12m and older)

wow really? but hes barely 7 months old, how can that be? My 3-3.5hrs of being up (usually 10amish) he is passed out in his bouncer and ready to go in his crib.
How would the easy look lets say in 1-3months when hes awake longer.. where do the naps fit in and on average how long would they be?

My advice would be very much to focus on the now, not what things may be like in a few months. This will help you deal with the changes, which will happen gradually.

When I say it could be the start of the 2-1 I don't mean you need to cut one nap short or anything like that. You only need to try moving the nap a little later first. You will probably also need to move the second nap later too and BT may get a little later too, but then you can start capping one of the naps when you're both ready.

He may well be very tired at the start of nap time, but bear in mind that you want the A time to stay the same or lengthen a little, but you also want morning WU to shift later. By moving the nap later gradually he may start to wake later again.
