J was awful. And screaming so I'm blaming teeth even though he was fully dosed up. Both boys cutting their bottom teeth now.

Ouch! Masyn was like that - meds helped take the edge off but she was still up and crying all night. Fx those teeth pop fast.

Ugh toms like this too on bad teeth days before cutting, meds 'help' but not enough.
((Hugs)) hopefully you will get a few sleepy days following the tooth cutting

Hello! I'm Izzy, mother of 2 baby girls (3 months old) and I'm so lost with routine, meals (breastfeed during the day and formula at night), activities,  naps, bed time....

In the most of the time I'm alone with the girls and I feed them at the same time...

I'm so fed up with being up half the night!  We'll get a goodish night and then everything goes backwards.  They've both cut their bottom teeth (well two for J and one for H) and now have yet another snotty nose and cough.  I do think a big part of it is too much day sleep and I was trying to get them more on one nap but they're not quite ready for longer A times.  However we are getting nearer 6 or 6.30am wakes - partly cos I'm doing whatever it takes to get them back to sleep to get them out of this habit.  They're really wired at bedtime due to ds1 and I'm (or DH) now having to spend 5mins cuddling them in the darkened room, this is also helping them not to thrash around quite so much and therefore less sick but I feel like it's not helping them to truly settle on their own?  There's been a lot of picking up and cuddling due to the teeth etc and now they have colds and are GRUMPY this will go on.  They are settling completely independently at the beginning of the night (well other than this new wind down - but tend to go into their beds awake) and naps though I just don't know if this is enough yk?  Plus when they self settle they're so noisy that I worry about waking the other one up during the night...  Separating them previously didn't work.

I've been wondering how the st has been going... Hadn't heard recently so I wondered whether things had improved somewhat but not entirely.
How many times are you actually getting up in the night to resettle them now? And what do naps look like? Do you have time to post their current easy?
It sounds pretty usual, during that period of light sleep, to have to resettle one or both and tbh I think that this is something unique to twins and multiples. I was and still am quick to jump in a resettle simply because there is another baby in the room.
Regarding the brilliant method you have of deescalating them both at the end of the day. Well I think that is brilliant and just what they need right now especially as separation anxiety looms, as well as the never ending teeth.
That morning wake up time is much better too!
Well done you!

Their easy varies. Usually about 4hrs a time in morning then between 1hr and 1.5hr nap then 2nd nap usually after 2.5- 3hrs and it depends on time and length of am nap whether I cap it or not. Usually between 40mins and 1hr. Bed is 6.45 ish whatever due to dh getting in from work.

I'm usually up to each of them although h slept from just before 7 till 4.15 then back down till 6.45 but j wouldn't settle. This is common for one or other to have a longer waking.

Brill night from h!

What do you mean j wouldn't settle... At 4 when h woke or was it an all night thing??

I don't think they are getting too much day time sleep at all I just wish they were developmentally ready for you to transition to one nap as I know that is where you'd prefer them to be.

Hugs for the pain staking two steps forward one step back thing you have going on....

J just wouldn't settle at 2am. All I mean is with less day sleep they sleep better at night.
