Ok so both boys up around 6ish
H slept 6.45pm-5.15 and back to sleep for a bit apop of course!
J slept till 3am - woke and was really trying to settle back to sleep, not crying just tossing and turning ??? in the end I gave him some milk and he slept till just before 6

My friend was here this morning so managed to keep them going till 10.30ish when we gave them their bottles - J fell asleep on his ::) so I just put him down about 10.45ish I guess, H was practially falling asleep so he went down a little later.  Will see what happens.  Not holding my breath though!

My mum got them this afternoon so not sure what will happen if they need a catnap - probably she'll let them sleep too long ::)

So it's 4.30am and I've been up with the boys for 2hrs. This is becoming more and more frequent. Long nws esp from j. I don't know what to do. Tuesday when they slept well they'd hardly had any sleep in the day.  It could be something they ate though. At my wits end.

Oh yuck. Are they awake happy chatting or are they upset?  I've found out the hard way that tomatoes and broccoli give Medi a bad tummy in the motn.

No I can't get them to have a long enough nap to move them to one nap. I think it must've been food related as h slept 10.5hrs straight and he was up for a long time the night before too. Jstill unsettled last night but everything takes longer with him.

Sarah my boys can't have tomato. I'm guessing it was strawberries. Fed up with this they can't live off porridge! Also even though I'm grateful for small mercies 10.5hrs just isn't enough.

Yeah strawberries could do it too :(.

If it makes you feel any better Medi often has 10 or 10.5 hour night.

My boys seem so similar to Tom Sara. Could he have things like onions and spices? Celery? Anything artificial? I need to post in allergies I guess.

Sarah It does make me feel better! It's just if they go down for 7 its still such an early start. Sigh.

Celery and most herbs/spices are ok. Onions don't seem to be a problem. We really had to look for groups ie oxalates, salycilytes, dairy, fructose and then if a few of those foods caused trouble I steered clear of that group for a while and took caution with each intro YK? (Not fun ::) ) some spices are high in benzos :-\

Hugs Hun, sorry I have no good advice for sleep :(

Laura - can you ask your GP for a dietician referral? That way you will get some weaning support but can still develop the solids as they do become increasingly important now. Some dieticians are very good (and far better than most GPs and paeds regarding feeding).

I imagine (as always) the feeding situation isn't helping the sleep. More solids will mean less sick at sleep times (usually  ;)), but obviously not if it is the wrong stuff.

If you can't be doing with seeing the GP again then perhaps just a phone call or a chat with the HV could still get the referral??

Yeah I'd rather not get up at 6 am but we get a lot done before Enfys gets up ;)

Liz they're under a dietician but not due to see her till Sept but I'll maybe see what I can do. Tbh they didn't say anything else would be a problem just to avoid soy and milk. But it's becoming obvious when things are causing an issue.

Sara I don't understand much about the different groups.
