Swaddling once baby can find own hands?
« on: April 11, 2014, 07:41:28 am »
Hello all. Very succseccful time going down for a nap this morning with me swaddling for the first time.. Could be a coincidence but probably not, I've held off doing it as my 9week old sucks her hands a lot during the night to settle herself back to sleep so I thought I shouldn't but they're too much of a distraction during daytime naps.

Do you think it's ok to swaddle even though she likes sucking her hands? Thing is she sucks them until she's too tired then they ping away from her and it frustrates her I think, I'll maybe just do it for daytime and not night sleep? I sometimes give her a paci but she takes it some days an not others.

Hi, I've no BTDT with swaddle but my LO was and still is a finger sucker...totally refused paci, preferred fingers.
Could you perhaps leave 1 arm free? Guess it could be trial and error see what suits x
