Only finger foods at mealtime
« on: May 05, 2014, 19:10:49 pm »
My 10 month lo is really into feeding himself so I've been offering more finger foods at mealtime abd he seems to eat a lot but I'm not sure if it's enough. It was easier to measure puréed foods. How do I know if he's getting ebough food should I still spoon feed some purées at meal time along with finger foods?

LOs are pretty good at self regulating their intake. So long as he is still having milk and you are offering a balanced diet (range from the food groups) I wouldn't worry too much about the quantity.  Sounds like he is really enjoying his food :) Finger foods and joining in with family meals is what you're aiming towards so it sounds great to me :)  He might like to have a go at using the spoon himself (or a fork).
