Hi Sara thanks. I saw that she was getting tired so I aimed for 6. Had her in the crib at 5:50 but she got OT and fell asleep at 6:20 the. Had few ENW. She almost WU at 4:40 but resettled till 5am. So I guess she does need 13hr day an I should've had her asleep by 5:40.

Today since she had only 10hr40m of night sleep shoul I give her a shorter morning A or a longer CN, like 40m?

Also if I follow her morning tired cues and put her for a CN when she is tired (not at 4hts30m)I'm not sure how long she will need for her second A (more or the same)and that might bring me a bit short from 13hrs day. What do you think?

Thank you so much

Hi hun, just checking in (didn't want you to feel abandoned - slightly have my hands full at the moment though with a newborn....).  Sara is giving you great advice :). Hope today goes well x

So a, I right your going for the first long A, nap then CN if the nap isn't decent?
If so you need to be consistent for at least 5 days so her body clock gets the hang of it YK? I'm confused as to which way your going ATM sorry :-\

Are you making 6am your WU? - so all WU before that treated as NW and kept in room?

I'm sorry I got you confused. First I tried long Am nap and CN in the Evening but she for 3 days in a row she refused the CN so yesterday was the first day I gave her a 30m CN in the morning and then 1hr40m in the evening. Today in doing the same. This was our yesterday

4:42 WU A(4hrs40m)
8:56 crib
9:20 S (30m)

9:50 WU I woke her A(2hrs23m)
11:43 crib
12:13 S(1hr42m)

1:55 WU A(4hrs22m)
5:52 crib
6:17 BT OT

Few cries in the early night

 Today so far
4:40 almost WU

5:00 WU A(4hrs10m)
8:30 very tired rubbing eyes cranky
8:48 crib
9:10 S little OT (30m)

9:40 WU I woke her A(

Aiming to have her asleep by12 ish

P.s. She's been in the crib since 11:30am(for the second nap)and now it's 12:30 and she is still not asleep. I don't know what to do with her? If she is refusing the second nap she can't possibly last all day on 30m CN  ???

It's 2pm now and no luck with a second try for a second long nap

Can you stick her in the car and go for a drive?  DD hadn't ever been a car sleeper but during the 2-1 would sometimes crash out due to exhaustion.  Worth a try?

My husband has the car :(. She finally passed out at 3:20 till 3:45 and that's it.
Will have her in the crib at 5:30 but she will probably not sleep till much. Later. Should I still stick with this routine or abandon it? That's what happens last time we stride short am long PM nap- she would either refuse the pm nap or have a very short one.

Do you think you might just have to go for 1 nap now and ride out any OT if it happens. Sounds like 2 really isn't working anymore.
You was on just 1 nap wasn't you, I can't remember why the switch back to 2, OT?

Yes we were and OT was getting to her  ???
She is showing tired signs at less then 4hrs of morning A. That's my only option, probably unless she will take that second CN in the evening.

We too get tired signs some days after only a few hours but I ignore them these days. A snack or going outside usually perks her up and then she's ok. Might just have to keep her really entertained to get her through!!!

How about your LO's nap and night? Are they effected by OT?

Her nap is usually about 2hrs when she's home with me. Far less at the childminders (but that's another story)
Usually she does an 11hr night. Sometimes 10.5 and rarely 11.5. If she does get OT then we usually end up with a 10hr night but doesn't happen too often thankfully.

So how do you keep the day on track if she is OT and has a 10 hr night?
