Have you tried a later nap as well? I know jack needs one really long A in the morning to build up enough tiredness over the day.  You might find that a later, capped nap means she gets more tired by bedtime?

Also, fwiw, Jack has averaged an hour's day sleep since he turned one and is sleeping so much better for it. I don't need to cap cos he doesn't nap for long anyway, but if G was on one nap at 7.5 months it is conceivable (to me, anyway) that she just needs less day sleep. J does a 13.5 hr day on average, with a 45 minute - 1hr 20 minute nap after about 7 - 7.5hrs A and then about 5- 5.5hrs to bed. He's done that since around the time he turned one

I've been considering pushing that nap back later so thanks hun.

If she naps more than an hour she will only sleep a 10.5hr night, 11 max and the NWs so I'm reluctant to put her to bed too early as we then get an early WU which then pushes the next ones earlier and earlier. ::)

Hey honey.
This is a funny age for sleep. They come out of that 8-10 mth sleep regression and for both my boys they kind of had to 're-learn' IS. Your not going to like this but I do think IS is an issue with G after reading our thread. I KNOW it's really hard, but I do think if you did some St then in a week things would be much better. :-\

If you do want to do it I'm here to help and hold your hand. I did it with T 10 mths ago and remember it like it was yesterday :P :-*

Agree with Sara :-*. I have a feeling that once she can get herself to sleep these bt shenanigans will get better.

Thanks ladies, I definitely want to start some STing but she has a hacking cough now. This happens every time I have the chance. I'm off work for a week now so hopefully I'll be able to start at some point next week.

She can sometimes resettle herself at night and often when going down at nap time or BT although she's propped to sleep she does look around when going into her cot and seems to like it. At times. She won't co-sleep now or I know that she'd be in with us every night as I am just on my knees.

Up for 2hrs last night but that was due to coughing. :( I feel bad for getting cross about it but feel at my wits end really. I'm worried it's going to be so much harder now she's so mobile. :(

Thank you ladies xxx

Hopefully her cough won't last too long and you can make a good go of it next week.

Hugs Hun, it's so so hard Nicola I understand, right down to getting cross.

Coughs are the pits too....seem to be doing the rounds come spring and autumn and there's not much we can to :( does a humidifier help? X

My DS often has a cough especially since getting croup! Vicks vapor rub on the feet with socks over helps x

Thanks ladies, she's still coughing a bit but thankfully it's picking up. She sttn on Friday 7:20 until 6am and that was after a 2hr nap ::) but back to a 2hr NW last night but with lots of crying so we medicated. She used up her good sleep, quota for the next 4 months on Friday!! Ha! ::)

Will see how she goes over the next few days and may make a start on Wednesday as we've had a busy weekend decorating anyway. I'm going out with a friend tomorrow for lunch  ;D  so DH can't start as he'll be run ragged with both girls as it is!
