5.5 month old wakes every 2 hours

Hello I am new here. Doing this is my last option. My son has woke up every two hours for a bottle since he was born. He hardly naps during the day either. He will cat nap, for example 45 minute nap in am around 9 he wakes up at 6:30. Then nap for45 minutes around 12 or 2 then another 30 nap around 5. He is ready for bed by 8:30. If I try to keep him up longer we pay for it. When he goes to bed he wakes every two hours for a bottle. I have tried not giving him them but he screams then won't go back to sleep.  He can't eat baby food as he will throw it up. We give him baby cereal twice a baby. He get cereal and a bottle right before bed. He have a routine every night too. Not sure what else to do. He is cutting teeth but don't think that has much to do with it as he has done this since birth. Any ideas? I have tried patting him singing and rocking.

All I can do is send you my sympathy, because my 5 mo EBF son is exactly the same! I'm exhausted and finding it hard to keep positive. I'll be looking with interest to see what advice you get, and hopefully I can learn something too!

Hello and welcome to BW.  Can you post your routine in EAS format? Like
Wake: 6am
E: 6:30
A: 6-9
S: 9-10:30

Something like that.

Do you feed at all night wakings? Does he take a full bottle at each one?
Does he go to sleep independently? Meaning you say goodnight put him in his crib and then walk out?

Hi yes, you want to keep to a 13Hr day when possible but there are always exceptions. My LO is LSN so he does about 13.5hr day sometimes less. It depends. I just want to see the full routine before commenting about tweaking etc. :)

Oh no, I know that. It wasant a comment about the routine. I think more info is needed to comment on that.
 Im just gathering all the information I can on 5+months old babies,especially about sleep issues so  I guess it was more a question for the mods *you*.

What is LSN? :P

Oh I know :) If you want to start your own post for advice you should if you have questions. :) LSN is low sleep needs.
