New to EASY....18 week schedule now...how to transition
« on: June 04, 2014, 17:15:11 pm »
I am a stay at home - BF mom

Here is my LO's schedule as of today.....

Wake -  5:30-6:00
E - 6:30
A - 6:40-7:30
S - 7:30-8:15
Y -
E -8:20
A - 8:30-9:30
S - 9:40-10:30
Y
E- 10:45
A - 10:55-12:30
S -  12:30-1:30
Y
E-1:45
A- 2:00-3:50
S - 3:00-4:00
Y
E- 5:00
A - 5-7
S - bedtime for night

She eats every 2-3 hours.
Her naps are anywhere from 1 hour to 2 hours from last wake
She gets OT if I extend. Gets harder to put her down
We have bedtime routine
She feeds once during the night - although we are fighting a regression right now and she is waking up every two hours...which is horrible. I am dead tired from this. She wakes up rolling over on her stomach and cant put herself back down to sleep. She cries so hard when this happens.

How can I get on a more reasonable EASY plan.

Pediatrician says she is just a snacker (why she eats every 2-3 hours still) and likes to take cat naps.

I feel like all I do is put her down for naps during the day.

I use shush pat and rock her till she is drowsy and then put her in crib.

Suggestions?

Has she hit the 4 month growth spurt already do you think? Just wondering if that is part of the wake ups. I see she sometimes does A times of 2 hrs and then some are much shorter - are you going by her cues there? At this age usually they are workig towards 2 naps and a catnap. How is she when she wakes at night?

Yes i go by her cues = and normally she is ready to go to sleep about 1-1/2 hour after her last wake up.

Nights have been bad lately - she is waking up crying at least once a night about 2 hours after she has gone down. The rest of the night she wakes up every two - three hours rolling over and putting her face in the mattress frustrated. I let this go on hoping she can self soothe back to sleep until she crys. Then i pick her up and put her back to sleep.

I dont know if its teeth or what is going on. She used to sleep so well........

Those developmenta milestones can make it so hard! Does she get a lot of chances to practice rolling during A time? I really found that helped with my kids.

I would say she is probably ready for more A time (sometimes those sleepy cues can be learned and happen at the old A time even when they might need a bit more). Have a look at this link, it shows the averages by age:

Average A times- BOOKMARK ME!

Have you ever tried using shh/pat while she is in the crib?
