Help again! Nw still :-(
« on: June 12, 2014, 17:25:18 pm »
My daughter is 3 and i son't know what to do with her routine again. Every time i change it, it works for a few days and then back to NW which mess it all up again!

We try to do 6hrs before and after her nap. But those she falls asleep easily for her nap. She never seems to be able to fall asleep for bt. Regardless of how early i put her down. And then she gets ot and has NW...

Does the morning a time need to be changed?
Where am i going wrong? ???

Yesterday:
Wu 7.10
Nap 1.30-2.15
Bt pd 7.30. Asleep 8.30
Nw 4.00-6.00am

Ideal is:
Wu 7.30
Nap 1.30-2.15
Bt 8.00

Not an expert, but at 3 years old she might be ready for no naps.  Near 3, my son dropped his nap at home but at daycare/school the teachers continued to enforce naps.  He did fall asleep easily for those naps, but then he would be awake until 10 PM every night, then sleeping through until 6:30/7 PM.  If it were me, I'd try your "ideal" routine and maybe work towards no naps.

I'm soo afraid of NND now  :-[ when i tried it about a month ago she was crazy OT and had loong NW and i finally feel like shes just gotten over that! But the last two nights i decided to do bt exactly 12hr after wu and she seems a lot happier/ well rested. She doesn't actually fall asleep till 8.15-8.45 but i wouldn't have known if i didn't have a video monitor. She lies there quietly. Whispering and playing in her bed. But i think she needs that extra hour to calm down.

Lets hope this continues! Thank you for replying  8)

Hi!

I suspect your LO maybe ready to
Drop the nap or perhaps it's a developmental thing given it's around her birthday?

I have no btdt experience (give me a month and I'm sure I will be in the same boat!) but this link might help if you this your LO might be ready to drop the nap:
