I am just starting getting my 10wk old on an EASY schedule. It feels like it is going to work well for us once we both get the hang of it. The big issue I am running into now is that my son consistently wakes up 30 minutes into his nap. Today I went into his room to see what was happening at this time. Sure enough, right at the 30 minute mark, those pesky jolts I have read about started. Since I was in there, I tried to shush/pat and after 15 minutes he did go back to sleep. The next nap I tried to apply some pressure, like I read about in the FAQ section, but I think I just made it worse. He woke up completely and was so OT I couldn't get him back to sleep. Part of the problem is that he is jolting enough that his arms break out of his swaddle wrap (we use a swaddleme) and he punches himself in the face. He's also just generally a spirited baby.

I'd love to hear what has worked well for others - shush/pat vs pressure vs other? My other issue is that I had back to work in 2 weeks, so whatever works, I will have to try to get the daycare to continue. Not sure how that's going to go...

Hi there!  Sorry you havent had any replies yet.  What does his typical EASY look like?  Does he use a paci?

Since my last post I will say that my LO is doing better. Most of his naps are still short but he has gotten one long one the last 2 days. I extended his A time a little by creating a 10 minute wind down routine and he didn't seem to wake too tired from any of his naps today. He is still eating more frequently than I would expect. Maybe he's just a hungry guy/short napper right now? He'll be 11 weeks this weekend. He doesn't use a paci - he can't seem to get that coordinated. He does suck his hands a lot during the day, but I can't leave them out of his swaddle or he wakes himself up. I did change from swaddling with his arms at his sides to his hands on his chest. Seems obvious now, I wouldn't want my arms straight down by my side either, but I was just trying to keep them in. I think this makes him fight the swaddle less. Maybe that will help someone else!

Here was our day today:
Wake/eat: 550am (I would like closer to 6 or 6:30, but couldn't get him back to sleep this morning)
A
S 7am
E 745
A
S 9am (didn't even squirm, slept straight through!)
E 1120
A
S 1250
E 130
A
S 245
E 330
A
S 455 (took a little longer than normal to fall asleep b/c the dog barked like him at someone outside right as he was started to get sleepy. It scared him, so it took a little longer than normal to wind down...)
E 530
A including bath time
E 720
S 745

I plan on a df at 1030 and I expect him to wake once btw 2-4am.

Honestly, he was so content all day and fell asleep so easily each nap, I might just except the short naps since he is getting one long one. I Could wake him up from the long nap earlier, but I am afraid to in case that's the only long one he gets. Any recommendations are welcome!

I'm glad changing his hand positioning helped with the swaddle!  Swaddling was a lifesaver with dd1 :)

I think you could probably increase his A time a bit more to help lengthen the naps that are shorter, BUT he may end up waking hungry if he isnt ready to go longer between feeds  :-\  Do you think you could go longer between feeds?  When he feeds at 5:50am are you able to get him back to sleep immediately after?  Was he hungry at 7:45am, or did you feed him hen because that was when he was up from nap?
