Changing formulas Aussie to Canadian - help!

No, a miracle has not occurred and I do not have a new LO.   
My bro & SIL are in town from Aussie.  Their LO was on Nestlé's Nan formula at home.  SIL had done some researching and figured that Nestlé's Good Start 2 was the closest match in Canada. 
LO doesn't think so as quickly as SIL would like.  So a couple of questions.
1.  How long, on average, does it take to transition a LO from one formula to another?
2.  From Canadian Mamas, what is the sweetest smelling/tasting formula there is available?  The Good Start smells vile in comparison with the formula powder that SIL has brought - which smells a bit like milk powder.

1.  How long, on average, does it take to transition a LO from one formula to another?

You don't need to transition - I swapped my two from an easy digest formula to a reflux formula cold turkey - just gave the next feed with the new formula. The only time you need to transition is if the baby rejects the taste of the new formula, so I would just give the feed first and see what happens. If he/she rejects the taste I would probably do half and half old formula/ new formula and for a day or two then 3/4 + 1/4 for a day or two.

Not sure any of it smells that great lol.  Might do better with Enfamil or Similac though?  I found GoodStart to be really foamy too...DS hated it.

Agree with PP...Enfamil was the one we used and it was the one LO liked the best. We tried the Goodstart and found it a bit off smelling (not that any of them are great) and indeed a bit foamy...

We did Enfamil too.  Similac is okay (and it what hospitals use), but we needed a gentle formula and our doctor recommended the Enfamil version for that

Thanks ladies!  LO did finally decide that, although not great, the formula was tolerable.  I think that SIL was a bit more anxious than needed, but she is a first time Mum so I will cut her some slack.
