LO out of control
« on: August 02, 2014, 19:08:50 pm »
I am finding it very difficult to BF my DD. She is kicking, slapping my other breast and turning the other way, everything while she is on the boob.
I feed her in dark room without any noise from the outside so why this behavior. She has recently bit me and I bled so I am scared that she will do it again.

When she does that I would take her off and tell her to be gentle. You can even hold her hand and stroke it gently on your chest or arm to show her. You can offer the breast again but if she continues hurting you then I would take her off again. She should learn quickly that that sort of behaviour means no milk.
Wearing something like a nursing necklace or giving her a lovey to hold while she nurses can help keep her hands busy.
